St. Blaise’s Cathedral, St. Blasien

At the time of its dedication in 1783, „the Cathedral of Schwarzwald/the Black Forest“ St. Blasien, or the abbey church of the former Benedictine abbey in the small town of St. Blasien (carrying the name of Saint Blaise as in the 9th century, his relics were translated from Rome to the place where in the 10th century the monastery was erected), was the third largest dome church in the world.
